The new speedloaders from Korth are just what you’d expect from such a high-end revolver manufacturer. Distributed by Nighthawk Custom, they’re of the twist type and are machined aluminum.

The locking mechanism sports two arms that cross two ball bearings to lock or unlock the loader. The locking arms are recessed into machined cuts that are as wide as the arms, fully supporting them in the lock and unlock directions—which should ensure longevity.

There’s a lot of engagement with cartridge rims and the case when in the locked position. There’s almost no play in the cartridges when the loader is locked, and that makes it really fast to use since you don’t have to worry about bullet noses wobbling and hanging up on the cylinder.

It ain’t cheap at $50, but again, if you want the best, this is your loader. I tested the six-shot .44 Magnum version, and it fits Korths as well as Smith & Wesson revolvers like my 629. There are also Korth loaders for six-shot 9mm (Korth, S&W L frames) and .357 wheelguns. The latter is available in both six-shot (Korths produced since 2016, various S&Ws, Ruger GP100, Colt Python) and eight-shot (Korth, various S&Ws, Ruger Redhawk) versions.

Looks like its pretty much an embellished “turn-knob” HKS knock-off. Knock-off? No, that’s not right….. its an all metal HKS knock-off.
SAFARILAND unfortunately doesn’t make “N” frame Competition II’s & III’s so perhaps these slower-loaders might be helpful?
“High end precision & durability.” Probably. Don’t expect super-fast reloads IMNSHO.

Interesting.

I have been looking for speedloaders for my K frame revolver. There are a lot of options out there, but no one has any stock. Luckily used ones are still obtainable.

These look very similar to 5-star firearms speedloaders, but the release turns the opposite way to HKS 586 speedloaders. I wonder which way the Korth ones release? If you can get enough of one, it probably doesn't make any difference.
Pachmayr Aluminum Competition is another similar design with the twist knob to release.

The speediest ones to release seem to the the spring loaded varieties (Jet Loader, Safariland Comp iii, SL Variant, Speedbeez) if you can get used to them. Otherwise the Safariland comp i/ii are hard to beat! The dade speedloaders are okay, but the push plunger to release deal can be confusing if you are used to a push body or twist release method. Also if you drop a dade speedloader, they will promptly release all 6 rounds all over the floor.

I'll be interested to read the reviews once a few people have had the opportunity to review them and compare them to the other varieties that are available.
