Krag rifle stock

anyone ever hear of a Norg krag rifle with a slot cut into the stock for a sling?

They all had a sling swivel set up.
The 1895 Mt Carbine had an eyelet set into buttstock at bottom and, sometimes, pined through sides, plus front left side at band. The original Lang Krag had a sling seivel at butt bottom like most rifles and bottom of centre band. The 1912 Carbine had inletted at butt as 1895 or an eyelet at TGuard along with front left of stock band.
There are other less common models, but I think you saw what was a rear sling swivel's eyelet in the rear stock.

Rifle or Carbine? The Nazi made Norwegian Krgas and the '50s Stumperud/Bastard Models use stocks made to be like the K98k ones.

its a carbine. I looked for any crazy markings but there is nun. also the serial number is in the 70,000s

As mentioned by RussiaBerdan could have been during war years occupation by the German forces. Interesting find.
