Hey there, I have an 870 express 12ga with the 2 barrels which I have left stock for now as I like to shoot skeet with it, and I like the basic look of the gun. I wanted to pick up a more tactical style shotgun as well. I've heard good things about the Norinco 870 knockoffs with the short barrel and the pistol grip, but I was looking at marstar's site and saw the turkish Kral tactical gun and was wondering if anyone has any opinions or experience with this gun

Thanks a lot :sniper:

There were a couple of people who bought these and posted their reviews awhile back.

Apparently the stock is rather solid but the receiver seems cheap. (No personal experience with them).

If you ever want to change anything on it(be it replacement or customising to your needs), you'll be hard pressed to get any parts....whereas with Norinco HP9-1s, you can use Rem parts. (NOTE: HP9-1 is the 14" 870 copy, other HP9s use a different length mag tube so Rem won't fit. The HP9 Lawman, is not really a proper 870 copy)

thanks for the info...i don't care too much about the folding stock or pistol grip, i just want a nice short shotgun. sounds like the HP9-1 is for me.

Check out CanadaAmmo's 870 Grizzly. $289.00 shipped for a 12.5" barreled 870 type gun.

Essentially a Norc HP9-1 but with a 12.5" barrel, comes with pistol grip and regular stock...and costs cheaper. Don't get me wrong, HP9-1 is a great gun and was THE bang of the buck until CanAm started offering the Grizzly.

(or wait a few months and get further models of the Grizzly with more options).

I was interested in those too, but yeah, sold out for ages, so I just bought a Mossberg 500. Probably a better idea in the end anyway.

Is this gun an 870 knockoff as well? So if you need repair parts or whatever, do you think they would be interchangeable?

The Grizzly 870(12." barrel) from CanAm is a direct 870 copy, as is the Norinco HP9-1(14" barrel). Rem parts will fit them if you ever require spares/replacements.

The ejection port is square in design instead of oval(Rem) however. The design is of the original 870 however and does not have the Flex tab(you can buy and drop in if you are obsessed).

The other Norinco HP9s are not direct copies. The longer barrel HP9s have a non Rem length magtube. I have no idea how short it actually is, maybe one might be able to drop Dlask 8.5 barrel on it without mod, I don't know.

The HP9 LAWMAN is a pseudo 870 copy with different receiver dimensions.
