Kreiger now offers 5R rifling for Canadian Customers!

Through our persistence, we were successful in our efforts to prompt Krieger Barrels to make 5R rifling available to Canadian Customers.

This rifling was pioneered by legendary barrel maker Boots Obermeyer, and out of respect for intellectual property, Krieger has always stayed out of the 5R profiling.

Krieger has just informed me they have obtained the rights to produce 5R rifling for Canadian Customers!

This legendary rifling profile will be available in 6mm, 6.5mm and 30 calibers!

The price for 5R barrels in standard exterior contours and with 28" finished lengths are $430 CDN!!

These are the calibers they are going to start with. More may follow, but 5R is most popular with 30 cal anyway.

They dont do that funky fluting the pgw has on their rifles do they? I am starting to plan my first barrel change and looking at all options. Also how long do the barrels usually take to come in?

Barrels are currently running around the 10 week mark

The only company that can sell helical fluted barrels is E.R. Shaw (Which is too bad because they are only a field grade barrel); they have a patent on that process. PGW is able to do them for their rifles.

Helical fluting is not available an option on any other barrel.

Sorry for the confusion... website being updated as we speak, literally.

As of the recent upswing in the Canadian Dollar, As of today I have reverted back to Canadian Dollar pricing on ALL orders placed. This may be subject to change at a later date.

Here is the deal... The majority of barrels under 338 caliber are priced in Category B

That is $400 Canadian Dollars.

5R rifling is an additional $30 for a total of $430 (plus taxes and shipping)

Palma barrels are 30" finished length and this is an additonal $20.

still don't understand what contours are available, when I checked you're website, 30cal was only offered in contour #0 (featherweight) and #5 (bull sporter), is it possible to have anything else in 5r?
