Hi there,

I have recently been left a Krico 22 wmr that I would like to learn more about. This rifle this seems like a higher quality rifle it is a bolt action with double-set triggers, hogs back monte carlo walnut stock with a Schnabel forend nice checkering, hooded front sight and weird rear sight see picture. I emailed Krico as they're subsidiaries are still in business, they sent me an email back saying and I quote "by serial number it is a 350 series model no other information available" that is it. I have searched the net with little success in reference to a 350 series Krico. So to all my fellow CGNer's dose anyone have one of these rifles, know any further information or where it can be found, how do they shoot, is it worth keeping and if so what would it be worth? It was a good friend so I don't think I would sell it but would like to know more about it.

Thanks for any help

The Krico you have is made by the Weihrauch who are famous for air rifle manufacturing. They are one of the nicest rimfire rifles available and extremely popular in Europe.

It is known as the HW60J by Weihrauch and the 301 by Krico. A friend of mine who was a former British Army and Oerlikon armourer said it was the second best made rimfire to the Mauser 201 which is high praise indeed.

You will find they are more solidly made than an Anschutz and nearly as accurate. You can get spare parts and magazines from Weihrauch or they have a dealer in Texas USA. I would love to get one in .22 Magnum.

Enjoy your new rifle.

Thanks for the help everyone! I will definitely be keeping it but just as a curiosity question does anyone know what its value is? I can't even find a listing for one that has sold recently.

Don't remember seeing a 22 mag for sale lately... but $500-$600 seems to be the going price for the 22lr, and a few gun shows ago there was a full-stock 22lr for about $800

If you look at the UK gun boards, you'll often (relatively speaking) see them going for 200-300 Euros
