KRICO M330S Target Rifle

There is little information easily available on the Model 330S .22LR standard UIT target rifle. It is similar in appearance to similar contemporary light models used in 50m shooting. It appears to have been discontinued by 1992. Like the Weihrauch HW660, a model designed for the same purpose, it couldn't compete with more popular and more easily available makes.

It is the rifle at top in the image below.

I had a Krico 330S about half-a-dozen or so years ago and shot it from the bench.

It has a decent trigger.

Looking for some info on a Krico M330s 22 cal Single Shot target rifle . NOT much info when i googled it ?
Any idea of production date ? ser# 425551
Is this a sought after 22 rifle ?
Thxs :)
Cheers RJ
The .22 sporters are a dead product line for competition. After WW2 there were little community clubs that shot so-called Sporting Rifles, but the discipline was unique to Canada. The sport governing bodies were steered towards the ISU Standard Rifle model for international competition. The deep stock on the Krico is the ISU Standard style for 3position shooting.

Is it desirable? For an athlete, probably no. For a shooting .22, yes if it is a good price. The well known companies in order have always been Anschutz and Walther. Krico was probably trying to break in and hit the wall of supply and demand.

Yes it is just like yours 👍 Someone has removed the sights SO it needs a scope to shoot it now too .
Thanks

What is the replacement retail for a heavy barrel single shot .22 in a wood target stock? Pay separate for the scope, and ask about the iron sights front and rear. Those alone are a couple hundred.

Since you asked so persistently, I'll let you explore the wide range of choice for yourself. There is no simple answer because of the passage of time.

Compare the CZ457; any Anschutz 19xx series rifle, like the 1903; the Anschutz 1761 series, Shilouette rifle or the 1761 Match Start in particular; the Anschutz 54 is a higher class than any of their others. Stock, barrel length, feeding, and sights all make a difference.

SO whats your $$ opinion ? RJ
Can't compare it to anything modern, Anschutz makes something similar today, UIT style, forget the CZ457 comparison.
It would be below the Walther UIT rifles from the 80's, higher then the FEGs and French rifle's, maybe around the S&L full UIT target rifles, those shot and still shoot something amazing.
Someone that collects these and enjoys that era of manufacturing may pay a bit more, but it's an odd ball here in Canada.
I have an oddball HVA/CG single shot along those lines, but it never had irons, running boar style I guess, short lived manufacturing, couple years, the quality is amazing, the trigger is ridiculously light, barrel is 20" but its threaded for a 8" extension which is just a hollow tube, barrel weight, dual lug bolt, really nice bluing, it was $500 from Tradex, I wouldn't sell it for $1000 lol.

The Krico 330S is not a very common rifle, and it must be relatively rare in Canada. That may not enhance its value as that depends on desirability and demand. There are no parts available.

For what it's worth, the 330S that I bought back in about 2017-2018 had an asking price of $550 ($650 with the scope that the seller had on it).
