I dont think he was suggestin we kill the criminal code of Canada. We need the Firearms Act re-written to be harder on criminals WHEN they commit the crimes rather than attack anyone with a gun because they have the means to commit such a crime. It would be like the cops showing up at your house and telling you they are impounding your vehicle because you cancelled the registration and could commit a dangerous crime with your unregistered vehicle. And I do have a problem with being hassled and forced to pay to register my trucks. Its an annoying, time consuming cash grab. Sound familiar?

I could say the same thing about speed limits for vehicles. By your logic, we should just throw out all laws because there are always some people who ignore them. That's illogical as well.

The fact is, the existence of those laws and restrictions is what enables prosecution of people who are caught disobeying them.

I always get a kick out of how much emphasis people place on not having to register their firearms, yet its far more likely you'll kill someone with your car, or violate the law with your vehicle in some way, and you have no problem registering it in your name.
