Ok, so I've got my plinker all lined up, but I'm thinking of taking it to the next level. I remember CGNner Baal (anyone know where the hell he went?) put wooden ak/sks furniture on his, and I'm looking to do the same.

This is Baal's...

But I'm looking to do something more along the lines of this...

How tough of a job do you think this would be? I live in an apartment with only a phillips screwdriver and swiss army knife as my tools. Do you think its possible to put this type of furniture on the plinker? How much work/ what kind of tools would I need? Where can I find this type of stock/ furniture? Thanks. 8)

Im thinkin of doing the same with a ruger 10/22. I just dont want to buy a new one and then strip it down so im looking for a old used one to rip appart and build on. check out this page : www.csmetall-werkes.com

It has a 8" or 16" barrel option If you go with the 16" I think the gun measures just over 26" so you can keep it in the non-restricted category but im not sure if the 16" barrel will make it restricted. this may be ok with a rim fire gun im unclear on the specific rules.

good luck with your project send me a pic of it.

The side folding Krink stock would need the front left side of the reciever cut for the latch, the rear left side of the reciever needs a cutout for the button lock, the rear of the Krinker would need to be redrilled for the different rivet spacing of the rear trunion and the Krink side folder stock costs around 200 USD complete. This is not a job you can do without a drill press and a dremel tool. Stick with the side folding Romy stock, it uses the same rear trunnion as a fixed stock and looks decent (the one that comes with the kit).

Thanks for the tips guys.:D

While we're on the krinker topic, thought someone might enjoy this...

That is awsome, I'm going to have to put one together for myself :D. Just don't put it down anywhere.
