I was just messin around the web and stumbled onto a conversion kit called the Krinker Plinker ,seems kinda cool.

Is this thing still around and for sale in Canada or just a waste of time ?

As you can tell ,I`ve been out of the .22 rimfire loop for quite some time ,but the 22 bug has gotten a hold of me.

They come up for sale ever once in awhile on here. Don't think any retailers have any.
It's kind of cool and gets all sorts of looks but it's still a 10/22 dressed up.
 
I think because of the AK-ish look to them, the sale of those kits in Canada was banned. Pretty sure you can keep them if you have them though.

First time I'd even HEARD the words "Krinker Plinker" was when I found Ruger 10/22s at a dealer for a very low price. Turns out they'd bought them and ordered Krinker Plinker kits to assemble/sell that way but the sale of them was banned right in the middle of the process. Got a new 10/22 out of it but it was the second most disappointing 22 I've ever owned.

The banning thing would not surprise me LOL craziness.

I plan on getting a cheap 10/22 and doing the short bull barrel, stock and trigger mods we all see.I bought the RIA 10/22 clone (action and barrel only) and slapped on a ATI AR kit on it...looks cool enough I guess.
