Krinker Plinker

Wondering if anyone has tried the new 8 inch barrel krinker plinker, and if they've had any cycling issues with it, and if so what they've done to resolve it (ie:- change recoil spring, stinger rounds...).

It functions fine without altering anything. It is however a great deal louder.

I tried a new one out that was on a new 10/22 over the weekend, and around half the 80 rounds through it failed to fully extract the brass. Had to recock most of those. Tried different ammo and even some "mini-mags" and more-or-less same problem. With the original barrel on it all worked fine though.

The 16inch has a Match barrel and mine only likes target grade standard velocity. Sad but true....Perhaps the shorty has the same issue. Oh ya, mine was built on a 'New 10/22" also.

Mine's built on an older 10/22 (was in a newer 98" receiver) and I haven't had a single malfunction to date with several different brands of low end ammunition.

you'd get a better response in the rim-fire section. several threads there already about the krinker.

It's recoil operated so barrel length makes no difference.

On my 8" Krinker I put in the VQ extractor, hammer, shims, sear, etc. All the goodies. I then radiused the bolt, and she functioned perfectly, even on subsonics.
*Note, subsonics in an 8" barrel can't go 300m
