Anyone run the Kriss in 40 or 10 with short barrel? think the vector system is noticeable with these calibers?

I know there is NR versions but the odd thing is the barrel replacements seem almost impossible and I'm not a fan of the length.

Thanks
Shaun

According to Kriss barrel replaecemnts are a no-go but I'm sure ingenious gunsmiths may find a way.
I don't have a Kriss (not a fan) but I've shot it in .40 & .45 both with sort barrels. Not much to it really.....

Yup, there are only two things I don't like about my NR Kriss, and the barrel is one (not only is the rectangular bulky barrel not aesthetically pleasing but it does not fit into any of the cutouts in my gun safe and just keeps falling over). And the other one....oh, did I mention the barrel?

You realize that barrel shroud comes off very easily right? But trust me if you think that it's not the statically pleasing with the rectangular barrel shroud you will not be impressed by the pencil barrel either!

The barrels are permanently pressed into a trunnion meaning it would also need to be replaced, the cost of the barrel and trunnion make up the majority of the value of the lower so that's why they just sell it as a complete lower (which is considered the firearm for the sake of regestration/sales purposes)

No I didn't realize that, thanks for the info.

I may try to take it off, but if it is what you describe, I don't want it to be akin to Mr. Burns from the Simpsons taking his suit off *shudder* ..I may just leave it...
