I picked up a new gen 2 9mm Kriss recently and have had it to the range twice (today was the second outing)

First day it ran like a champ, probably put 150 rounds through it without a hiccup but today it quit after another 100 rounds (same ammo etc)

I figured it must be dirty so I stripped it, cleaned it up (was pretty much as dirty as I imagined it would be after such a low round count), lubed it and put it back together

Still would run (at all) so I stripped it again and looked closer - I *think* the firing pin has broke as I can't see a tip even when I exert pressure (i.e. simulating what would/should happen when the hammer hits the rear of the pin). That would explain why it won't run and why there are no marks on the primers

In one of those pictures I`m pushing the rear of the firing pin as far as it will go but theres still no tip protruding

Although this gun was brand new I purchased it off the EE and the previous owner had it for around a year but never used it so I`m guessing warranty aint an option

What are my options? Contact North Sylva? Can they check if its still in warranty from the serial number? Or Contact Kriss directly?

Contact North Sylva and see what they say. You might be pleasantly surprised with a free replacement part. I agree with your analysis that the culprit is a broken FP. North Sylva / Kriss ought to "own" a parts breakage regardless of whether you are the original owner or not.....

Just spoke with North Sylva who don't have any firing pins so I`m looking at 6-8 weeks which is a little disappointing and it sounded like I'd be paying for it too (the guy I bought it off checked and its a week over a year since he purchased it but was new/unused until a couple of weeks ago)

Hopefully this is a one off and its trouble free from here forward but it wasn't the start I was hoping for

Has anyone ever taken the firing pin out of a Kriss bolt? Mine seems incredibly tight, it looks like a simple roll pin so should be pretty straightforward - can it only come out in one direction?

I've put about 1000 rounds through my 45 ACP SBR with no issues, kind of disconcerting that North Sylva has no supporting parts available and its impossible to order through Kriss USA.

Contact kriss directly
Maybe even over social media u will be suprised how fast they will react to that

I don't do Facebook but I left a post via my wife's account and they responded advising I email their support line (which I have since done)

Thanks for the idea, hopefully it leads somewhere

Yep, particularly as it's one of the cheapest parts which (to me at least) seems fragile

Update on this:

Kriss came through with a replacement. They were very helpful and I received one in the post FOC
