I'm thinking about picking up a PCC before the end of the year and I'd appreciate some input on my top two contenders. I do 95% of my shooting on a range, so NR isn't a concern. Budget wise, I'm looking to stay under $1500 including the cost of magazines and any "necessary" upgrades.

My top two contenders are the Vector and Evo. My thoughts on them are as follows:

New or used CZ Evo
:

+ Cheaper
+ Proven operating design
+ More traditional ergos

- Additional cost for a right side safety delete.
- Trigger weight
- Magazine availability and durability
- 5 round limit

Used Kriss Vector:

+ Interesting operating mechanism with some benefits
+ I already own a number of Glock magazines
+ 10 round pistol magazines
+ Better trigger (from what I've read)

- Some have had issues with the magazine release, bolt release and safety

For those that have experience with both platforms, which would you recommend?

I've owned a couple of Gen 1 .45 Vectors (I wrote a detailed post here just about four years ago about my first) and found them quite fun to shoot—the recoil reduction mechanism worked surprisingly well. The triggers on them though, were quite mushy. I've heard newer Gen 2 ones are better, but I've seen very few restricted-length Gen 2s, and I think the Vector works best as a restricted-length gun. I came close to getting an EVO but decided on a PS90 instead. If the EVO had 10 round mags I think that would have made the difference.

I have both and realy like them equally.
I have the restricted Evo as of now and waiting on getting the non restricted one.
I like the kriss for its non restricted status as I do a lot of off range shooting.
Kriss is a bit heavy compared to the Skorpion but is easily manageable.
If I had to pick one it would be the kriss only due to be able to have 10 round mags.

Thanks for the input.

In the case of the Kriss, I'd be keeping an eye on the EE for a restricted Gen 2 in 9MM.

Did either of you experience any issues with fit or finish on the Kriss? Do you have any experience running Glock PMAGS?

Ive had no issues with the kriss but only had it out once and ran about 100 rounds threw it with no problems.
Only used GLock OEM

To piggyback on this post, I concur. That said my Vector doesn't seem to like KCI 10/27 mags. Two FTF in one magazine, stuck with OEM Glock mags the rest of the day, no issues.

i was looking at them both about a month ago. i went with the CZ because the Kriss has a host of feeding issues with some magazines and people are dumping them off left and right for way less then they paid. tells you something.

The extractor pin was working loose on the first one I owned—I had to re-peen it. I only ever used Glock OEM mags in mine and had no issues at all. They are fun to shoot (and the ten round mag advantage can't be dismissed) but I must admit when you look at what goes into them they seem a little overpriced.

My vote goes for the EVO. I picked one up just because I've always wanted a "sub gun" and the Evo matched what I wanted perfectly. The am I safety doesn't seem to both me, but one thing to consider is replacing the grip. I've yet to hear someone who didn't complain about it's terrible angle.

I have the gen 1 45 ACP SBR and I've put hundreds and hundreds of rounds through it and it's been fantastic. The KCI mags are a pain though so I stick to the OEM ones, I don't know if I'd even consider and SBR with a 5 round max!!

Wanted an EVO myself until that ugly little handicap.

Ditto. I went with the TDI Kriss Vector non restricted 9mm. It's OD green which I like allot. I put a Fab Defense fore grip on it and a Mepro light Red Dot. It works very well. Ten rounds, non restricted and functions perfectly so far. The strip down is beyond easy. No muss no fuss. I really like it. If the CZ ever came in a CBR Non Restricted version with ten round mags I would be very interested. I like CZ products. My 75 Shaddow Line is a great gun. If the EVO is of the same quality it would be cool to have. The only reservation are those stated above.

My Vector is the .45 CRB (NR), Magpul fore grip, Kriss hand stop, EoTech sight. I love that gun.
