Hey guys,

I would like to try/buy the DA 1911 commander combo from CanadaAmmo but was wondering if it's a pain to find a good kydex holster for it?

On few web site they talk about lengh and triger fit for the holster so I'm not sure about wich one to go for.
Mag belt pouch would be standard but really confuse for the gun holster.

Is there anybody that have a kydex holster that fin the Norinco/DA 1911and could recommand me a perfect fit for it

Thanks

I don't know about the holster, but I do know the 500rd combo is an amazing deal, and I'm thinking about grabbing another just because.

Check out Solely Canadian Kydex Holsters, I ordered a holster for my CZ and it only took about 10 days to arrive. The holsters are made for different pistol models at time of order, and it fits like a glove.

Make sure u pay attention to the style of trigger guard. Most 1911 holsters have a rounded trigger guard application but some models of the Norinco have a squared trigger guard. Square peg in round hole syndrome doesnt work so well. Lots of choices out there for 1911s. Just look carefully before u jump on one.

DaBear is correct
My first norinco was the 19111ac with the squared guard and I hate it picked up a rounded dominion arms from canada ammo and love it fits everthing.
finding a holster for the squared was difficult so I just use a soft shell one for that squared guard

If you've got a round trigger guard gun, it'll fit any holster for an original Colt Commander. The problem is that some makers make a "mid size" 1911 with a 4 inch barrel, you need one for the original 4 1/4 inch barrel. I'm sure Solely Canadian would be happy to make you a premium quality kydex holster that will fit perfectly and last virtually for ever. Just avoid the crappy quality push button release holsters, they're a waste of money, and if you ever take a serious course, you'll have to buy a different holster anyway.

I second the Solely Canadian rec; I just had him make me a holster for an HK pistol and it's outstanding... easily the best Kydex holster I've ever owned.
