L E No1 MKIII worth anything?

Does your retain the original full wood, do numbers match?
Yes original stock as far as I can tell. Not sure about the matching #.The same serial # is stamped twice almost beside each other.Once on the barrel and on top of the chamber area.

Ok googled image and it does not have the complete full length wood stock or top piece..

Is it a Lithgow?

If it's full wood and the serial numbers match, it's worth a lot more than $50.

Pictures would help, and I'd blot out the serial numbers in the photos if you do post some.

FYI, I don't know much about the No.1 Mk III's, but you generally look on the receiver and bolt for matching numbers.

That sucks. But there's a bit of silver lining. There are sporters and then there are sporters. Some are done very nicely and some were done with a hack saw by someones drunk uncle. So post pics if you can. Low end guesstimate without actually seeing the rifle is 150$ though. :yingyang:

well as long as you have the magazine you should not have a problem selling it.

$150 is normally a good starting point, plus value if its a nice sporter, minus for any damage, missing bits, etc...

there are a lot of little details that may make it worth more to the right buyer.

Thanks guys.I have the magazine and the numbers on the bolt match the barrel.I will try to upload a pic or two.To my eyes it doesn't look like my drunk uncle had at it.Had I not seen the google image I would not have known the stock had been altered.
