L42A1 Enfield Sniper Rifle

The L42 is this Enfield collectors holy grail. I’ve only had a few opportunities to even handle let alone buy one. At there current price I’m unlikely to ever have one. Thanks for sharing!!

Yes thanks for the info but please check your facts about the Falklands conflict and the battle of Goose Green.
The war was 1982 not 1984. Although the Brits were outnumbered numerically, the number of combat personnel involved in each side was about the same. There were a lot of Argie non combatants who took no part in the battle.

The number of Argentenian casualties was about 55 not 200. Never the less it was a great victory for the Paras. Sorry to sound stuffy but I have done a lot of research on this interesting war.
Although the L42 was used I don't think it played any significant role at Goose Green. Though it was interestingly enough used in an anti ship role in South Georgia!

The facts aren't something I'm able to check, but you may be right. The article is a complete body of work article by Daniel Cotterill and originally published by National Rifle Association of America in September 2004. I believe his email is info@guncollectables.com.au.

I've added your corrections to his article under the "Collectors Comments and Feedback" section for the L42A1 in our MKB, in order that members may view the information together.

Thanks for the feedback..... :)

Regards,
Badger
