Labradar

ya i figured that... have an old phone that sometimes works , but it does connect to it.
is nice to use the bluetooth in the winter. oh well maybe hey will get it fixed soon.

There was a very recent update to the firmware and apps. I think Jan 6.
From what I'm reading on a labradar group the android update isn't available yet

1.2.7 - December 27th, 2021

Bug Fixes and improvements:
- Fixed Bluetooth initialization
- Fixed mcu cristal initialization

1.2.6 - September 9th, 2021

Bug Fixes and improvements:
- Changed the inactivity max time when armed to 600sec like stated in the manual (from 300s)
- Fixed a bug that sometimes displayed a white screen when pressing delete without a shot in a serie
- Fixed a bug that triggered an acquisition when pressing "Create Series" while armed
- Fixed a bug that froze the screen when pressing the "Menu" button while in the "delete" or "create series" screen
- Fixed connection denial while armed
- Now ignore shot with v0 over 1500m/s
- Raised the delay between the crystal startup and the PLL

Well, the android update is exactly what we are talking about... I just started using my wife's iPad. They clearly aren't giving a #### about it.

Another thing I found and successfully tried last night after updating was using a Bluetooth locator. In my case BLE Scanner, to find and connect to the Labradar first, then open the app and connect.
First time I have been able to connect in over a year.
But yes, very frustrating that they have yet to address their Android app after almost 3 years

Just got a email that they have released the Android update.
will try it as soon as i am home tonight.

hope it connects and works. then they can work on improving the function of the app and info later.

Well tried it at lunch. will not work with my samsung phone. did get it to work with an Android tablet tho.
they need to work on this and get it fixed . very disappointed .

I tried the new Android app (and firmware updates). Things are better - your phone actually stays connected to the device. The usability of the app is much improved too, IMHO. it does have some quirks, but things are now actually usable (my phone is a Pixel 5 running the lastest Android).

I have a Note 10 with Android 11, tried it last night and was happy with quick connectivity and data transmission.
I'll go to the range this weekend to give a good go, but it already looks better and works better.
At the end of the day, even without the app, Labradar is the best chronograph available right now. Accurate, no custom rifle mounts to avoid poi shift, and hard to shoot it when it's beside or behind your muzzle.
