Foxer,

That's Saskatchewan yer thinking of. YOu know, the land of watching you dog run away for three days. :D

I was told the provincial tree of Sask is the power pole :D

Hey Bro, I have and very active funnel next to the field we hunt to put this in. I really hope you can make it this Oct. 3 bruisers so far, the smallest is a 4x4 with some good mass.

Well aren't you a good Dad, buying her fake boobs and all... :p

btt... sorry about that...

I've looked at those Crappy Tire stands - they look like they'd do the job for cheap and easy. What do you guys think of them?
Huntsman, why did you pick the RiversEdge one from Ardisam instead of the Crappy one?

Hi Terrence,my mistake on the ladder stand brand  ,Its a "Hunters View"
15' ladder stand that I bought from the Archery club I belong to,Ardisam is the company where I found a pic of the stand(mine and the Rivers Edge are identical) assuming it was the same :?: And the nearest Crappy Tire is 110km's away, the archery club is 17km.

Huntsman

p.s. I set it up tonite after work,it took about 40min.After I was done it was about 1845,so I sat down in it just check out the view, after about 5minutes,I watched a small spike buck and a doe move thier way into the water hole where I set up,they were pretty cautious coming in,must not of liked the n.i.b. smell of the stand or the cardboard, they both trotted off and away.I then climbed back down, grabbed my bottle of "White Lightning" scent eliminator and sprayed everything down, picked up my garbage and snuck back out to my truck.I'll try it out for real this Saturday,I'll take pics if I can.

Huntsman :)

You are a dad posting this????? I don't think so !

Well this a.m. I was in the stand,At around 0705 I had two doe's with thier
fawns come in behind me and then proceed to thier bedding areas, and about two minutes after that I could here some grunting coming from behind me as well, thinking it might be a small buck,I readied myself. It was a doe,but she would'nt come any closer on my left into a clear lane, she just kept on grunting & grunting as she moved around.I watched her for atleast 2 minutes as she circled behind me,then just when I thought she was gone, she came trotting thru the trees to my right and stopped no more than 10yds in front of my stand, she then walked to the base of my stand,I was allready at 1/2 draw when she looked right up at me  ,15' below me man :!: She then bolted outta sight, that was pretty exciting :D ,I would have taken her if given the chance.I swear by scent killer too,she walked right over my footprints without alarm.
Oh well,next time

Huntsman

I saw one at Gander Mountain last time I was there. It was $200US and it was a double seater with a sort of gun/shooting bar that went all the way around. It had padded seats and seemed quite luxurious. The single seater was around $150US.

Im thinking of going back down to get it and setting it up around Thanksgiving. Sure would make things a bit different for guy who has been using ground blinds all his life!

The one I am considering is the 15' deluxe two-man ladder stand at the link below.
