OK, quick question guys - do any dealers carry Lafette 34 tripods currently? What about 8x57JS gurtfuller 34 cranked belt loaders?

Not having any luck finding either in the EE, but many dealers don't put this kind of inventory on their websites. Anyone know if they are stocked at any Canadian dealers right now?

For the record, despite the claims to the contrary on Marstar's website, they are sold out of 8mm belt loaders and only carry the MG42 Lafettes. I called to confirm.

The Lafette 34s are very difficult to find. You may be able to get one in the US but I wouldn't hold my breath. Most people use the Lafette 42's for their MG34s but there is a special adaptior kit you need in order to make the 34 fit.

Yeah, I know you can get the adaptor from TNW, but that wouldn't be "correct" now would it?

Lafette 42's are comparatively cheap stateside, selling in the $750 range.

I do know where there are some Lafette 34's in Europe, but with the current euro-dollar conversion rate and freight charges, I'd prefer to source one in Canada.

Hey Claven

You will find alot more luck on the german collector forums, such as wehrmacht awards etc etc. Especially when it comes to the Lafettes. I seem to recall seeing a gurtfuller just a week ago, but dont remember where.

the gurtfuller does it have to be WW2 ?post war yugo are identicle and I sold Collectors Source a couple in the can as new still in grease a little while back if it has to be WW2 I hope you have very deep pockets .they also did have an mg34 tripod I think i told you this before it had a repaired rear leg

I haven't been able to call about the Lafette yet, but I did ask about the gertfullers there. They only have a post-war Gertfuller M41 available, and they had reliability issues. I'd much rather find a G34.

Don't much care if wartime or not, though obviously a wartime one would be preferred.

i've used my yugo m41 for thousands of rds without a hitch back in the day just had to shake the hopper once in a while .NOW you want a nightmare loader try using the 1919A4 clothe belt loader now theres a piece of work .when they work they are great if the pins get stuck your toast .
