Lake City Brass - Can it be reloaded

Can Lake City brass be reloaded. Soem one at the range advise me it milsurp and the primer pockets are crimped and cannot be re-loaded ?

You need to swage the primer pockets prior to reloading.

reload like any other you just have to clean up the crimp on the primer pocket it is realy good brass and vary strong good for a semiauto

it can be reloaded, and apparently it is good brass. The primers are crimped, but you can buy a tool for a few bucks to remove the crimp.

What is this tool and where can it be purchashed ? How do you swage the pockets. I am curious if this is a an easy job as I might be able to get about 1000 once fired pieces of brass. These will be .223

I use an RCBS primer pocket swager. Works pretty slick. Ican do a couple hundred in an hour. Highly recommended.

American Eagle 223 FMJ is shipping with LC brass and uncrimped so it isn't all crimped.

LC is my brass of choice, if your looking to get rid of it PM me.

It is crimped and needs some addition reloading steps, but the brass is great.

the swager works the best, but if you dont have one use your chamfer tool to remove the crimp.

VERY efficient tool, if you need to work 1000 pieces or more just buy it. 1000 pcs/hr from my experience. Make the adjustment so you just remove the crimp... it's very easy to overwork the primer pocket.

use your chamfer tool to remove the crimp.

x2 I did this on some LC brass I had. It has worked fine.

thanks for the responses, I will try to use my chamfer tool to remove the crimp on a few test. If my contact comes up with more brass I will by a swager.
