Greetings,

Were does one find once fired LC brass for 7.62 Nato? Do we have a Canadian equivalent?

Thanks Y'all.

You will pretty much have to get it from the U.S, which requires U.S. export permits to be legally shipped outside of the U.S. I was smart and stock piled 1000 or so 7.62 Lake City Match cases before all the export permit BS.;)

For my 7.62 X 51/ .308Win match loads I use Norma or Federal Match cases.

I would go with Norma or Lapua cases as the primer pockets are drilled on these and don't require flash hole deburring.

There are some 7.62 once fired Norma cases sold in the EE Forum on a regular basis. Lapua cases are available throug Hirsch Precision here in Canada.

SKBY.

The modern equivalent of LC brass would be IVI brass which our military uses currently; RePete is still living in the 1960's. ;) :p If you can find a place willing to do the paperwork US Export permits just take time, a friend of mine orders bullets from the USA a couple of times a year, with all required paperwork.

IVI is not even close to being the equivalent.

I wish, there were a lot of things better back then - full auto, hi cap mags - no prohib status - music- etc.

Just for arguments sake, we are in the Reloading forum and LC ammo is the basic issue ammo for the US Military the same as IVI is for Canada, to me that is the closest thing we have, the only person who mentioned LC Match was Skullboy. Though I do agree with the second part of your quote except for the music.:)

"...if you can find it..." This applies to IVI brass too. Mind you, nothing IVI makes now is even close to the quality of anything the old DA made. Even though IVI originally used the exact same machinery DA used.
Milsurp brass isn't the be all and end all. It usually has crimped in primers and it's a bit thicker than commercial brass. The primer crimp needs to be removed before you can re-prime. The loads should be reduced by 10% due to the slightly smaller case capacity too.

Whose are you refering to, yours or mine? Only problem with Lapua is that you have to pay for it (or at least most do).

You obviously don't understand plain English.

How would I know what your rifle likes?

What makes you think I don't pay for my brass? Do you pay for yours?

I was referring to the Bollocks, not the rifle.

"Bollocks" is a word of Anglo Saxon origin, meaning testicles in British English and in Hiberno-English. The word is often used figuratively, most commonly as a noun to mean "nonsense" or as an expletive following a minor accident or misfortune, but also in a number of other ways: as an adjective to mean "poor quality" or "useless", as a noun to mean "top quality" or "perfection" (e.g., "That bike is the dog's bollocks!"), and in various compound expressions (see below). Owing to its versatility, bollocks has been called the Swiss Army knife of andrological profanities, in that it is the most versatile word in the English language.[citation needed]

Perhaps the best-known international use of the term in this sense is in the title of a ### Pistols album. Testimony in a resulting lawsuit over the "obscene" term demonstrated that in Old English the word referred to a priest, and could also be used to mean "nonsense" (see Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the ### Pistols for details). Or, indeed, the phrase in common usage "Bollocks to that!" expressing a distaste for a certain task or subject. Alternative usage can be to show the opposite feeling, expressing admiration or pleasure, as in "That's the dog's bollocks!"

Most of my 308 I have not paid for and none is DA or IVI. I do have to pay for my Lapua but there are some who do not! Did I say you did not? Perhaps you need to relax and stop reading what is not between the lines.

The Canadian equivalent - if you can find it - is DA64. Absolutey primo.

I had 2 cases of this stuff and still have 800+ once fired cases that I'm keeping. Of all the rounds, I had 1 problem round.

Well, well, well! Someone that does know what bollock is. I do thank you for that.

As far as relaxing, if I was any more relaxed, I'd be comatose.

Not reading between the lines.
