I went to visit my parents today. I'ts a long journey as I took TTC , Subway, Viva Blue and then the Go bus:rolleyes:

Anyhew anyone familiar with Lakeshore Road? I believe thats the name. Half way from the Salvation Army and Jackson's Point ( rainy day) Lo and behold out in this field clear as day... a Buck, a Doe and 2 fawns!!! as the bus went by the buck checked us out... so cool.. then I closed my eyes and drempt of shooting them.. :D

They still all had their summer color , very light ( wheat like)

Is there hunting allowed in that area?

i know the area well. We have a cottage in the Willow Beach area. I've seen deer at the bottom of our street. Never really looked into what it takes to hunt there, but I'm pretty sure there is no long rifle allowed. You'd probably be limited to bow and maybe shotgun.

Yes, that's the area I saw them... there is this big open field .. with the rain and fog it was surreal... so beautiful .

Thats a no hunting zone pretty much so it sucks. It's close to Dellasell Park (sp?)

Also hunting is allowed in Georgina but it's bow or shotgun only and maybe ML, no rifle. Alot more deer and stuff towards hwy#48 and Virginia

You can hunt in York Regional forest. It is south of 48 on Durham rd. 23
(lakeridge rd.) on the west side.

I believe there are two controlled deer hunts in that area. Don't take that for certain though. I would imagine it is a busy place. Considering it's location. I have never hunted it myself. I just know where it is.

Dave.

I know where you guys are talking about. I have been there a bunch of times when I lived around there but only to hang out with friends.

I looked it up and it has 2 controlled hunted which is closer to the Pefferlaw part of the forest. Nov 1st and Dec 1st I think. I would imagine a heck of alot of people go in there to hunt so it wouldn't be that good but it's only like 1 hour from the city.

i was told that u cant discharge a firearms from weir sideroad to 23. only bows. i hunt some of the farms east of their. only with the bow as during the gun season its crazy .alot of people just think that they can walk on any property.

if u are going to hunt around their please get permission and dont f&ck up my hunt. ;)

Cool, I grew up in Jackson's Point! My parents and 2 bro's still live in the area. !

Jacksons point is the hood now. I wouldn't want to live there unless it was one of those houses close to the Briars but even then, thugs target those houses knowing that they are only cottages.

Yes, I heard it was getting nasty! My parents actually have a place in Sutton( retirement) OMG.. the Briars was one of my first experiences working with chefs! I loved it! I remember one day ( thanksgiving ) we had to bake 300 pumpkin pies.. not only that but also assist the chef's with the prep of the turkeys and such! so exciting making sure everything is perfect and on time! I miss that place! Awesome golf course there now!

When I was growing up there we didn't have "thugs" we had the Vagabonds, Satan's Choice, Hell's Angels.. lol.. it was interesting I must say!

Anyhew,, back to hunting.. :p
