Howdy folks, just wanted to know. Is the semi-auto Lakefield 64b,L.R, basically the same .22 as the Cooey 64b semi-auto? Would their parts be interchangable? I'd like a spare parts gun for my Lakefield and Cooeys seem to be popular. Any and all replies welcome.

Very similar.
Lakefields have a "safety" on the siide. Cooey went from a wire ejector to a flat-plate style ejector (they fit in barrel differently, not bolt). Extractors have changed too...basically same rifle today in Savage form (whew...new mags too!) after 50+ years production.
