Lakefield was (is) a Canadian company. At various times they have been owned by Mossberg, Winchester and now Savage. The current Savage rimfires are decendants of your old Lakefield.

Lakefield Arms LTD was located in Ontario and was acquired by Savage Arms during late 1994.

I still have my old Lakefield MK 2 bolt action with a ten shot clip and open sights. Accurate old gun. I got it when I was 13 at Mcleods in Saskabush! That was 16 years ago.
