Lakefield Mossberg L395K 12 gauge with C-Lect Choke

I am helping out my father-in-law's friend who is clearing out his dad's stuff. This was another long gun found in his old gun cabinet after they drilled the lock off. Overall in very good condition though it feels like the firing pin is sticking. I am going to try and clean it up and take it to the range to test fire it. Serial number is 102###x, I can't seem to find much on this one and have no idea how old it is. Looks like a bit of surface rust in the nooks and crannies but not too bad. It's got a 2-round box magazine which is kind of interesting for a shotgun. Is there much of a market for these and what might it be worth? Thanks.

There's a market for every firearm made. I see them at gun shows, and on the EE occasionally, for $150-$250 based on condition.

I had one in 20 ga that also had the firing pin sticking and I have heard of a couple others with the problem. A good cleaning of the bolt solved the issue with mine and the others I heard of as well.

My father has one in a 410. He bought it used when he was 14 and he's turning 79 this year. He's killed a pile of grouse with it. I see them listed on the EE now and then for $150-$200.

They have run about the same price as a Cooey single for years. So $150-200 is right. While you are checking test the safety as well.
