Its a .22 semi auto, clip fed rifle that I just picked up from my father. He said he has not shot it in decades so I am going to add it to my collection. It has one 10 and, one 5 round clip. And it is in real nice condition.
I stripped it and cleaned it out good, but I havent been able to find much info regarding history or parts.
I checked it over and it doesnt seem to have a S/N anywhere on the reciever or barrell. I thought this was strange even though it is only 30 some years old.
Is this normal?

Also I may have heard that Savage clips may work in this gun. Is ther any truth to this?

Cheers

A Savage mk2 uses the exact same clip. Winnipeg Toymaker is right on about how picky they can be for ammo. I find mine will misfire alot but I am still not sure if it is the ammo or the firearm.

I finally got a chance to get out and try the rifle and it works quite nicely. I ran several types of ammo though and had no misfires at all. Only problem was with the 10 round mag. It would sometimes jam the first round, which is probably the fault of the mag. I just stared putting only 9 rounds in and it worked good.

I am watching the EE and have also posted a WTB ad, but does anyone know where I might be able to buy extra mags for this gun, either new or used?

Thanks, Ryan.

Mine like's federal hollow points, its not a bad shooter, but mine is a true beater rifle. I found parts for my safety lever that i need in the EE, just posted a wanted ad it took a few days and i had what i needed
