Lakefield mossberg?

I was wondering. I have a mossberg 500 and it says lakefield on it. What years were they made there? So far it takes all the same parts as my other 500. Are they rarer? Valuable? Crappy? What's the deal?

Takes the same parts because it is the same gun. M500's are top notch kit without the high price. Built between 1970 and 1991 for Mossberg by Lakefield Arms Co. Mossberg never owned 'em though. Savage's owners has owned 'em since 1994.

Thnx for the info. Gives me an idea of the age of the gun. I bought it just as a reciever and put my own stuff on it from there.
