Oh the places we will go!!
I just bought a couple 22's from another member for my one year old son. The bolt is a lakefield mossberg and it shoots like a dream. i refinished the stock since I got it and this is what she looks like now. What do you guys think?

Nice Lakefield Lester. They're cheap to buy, cheap to shoot, and accurate too.

I have two single shot Lakefield/Mossberg .22's and they are tack drivers. I found the second one last week and bought it instantly. Have fun with yours.
 
I have all 3 Lakefields. the single shot Mark I, repeater Mark II like yours and the Semi-auto Mark III. All 3 have been refinished Blonde and look great . One of the most accurate gopher and short range shooters I own. I like the howling wolf....reminds me of the Wolf Cub Pack I was the Akela for.
 
My first 22 was a Lakefield still have it all I had to do to it in 20 years is put a firing pin in. Great guns. Did you burn the wolf in or is it a stencil under the varnish?
