Did anyone do that and have experience presenting those to cops/RCMP? How about laminating each pair back to back together?
I just don't see those fragile pieces of paper to survive long unless laminated.

I've laminated all my paperwork. Haven't had to present it to anyone yet, but I can't see it being an issue. Maybe take a photocopy and laminate the copy in case if you want.

Copied, and in a ziplock bag in the Range bag, along with the Transport and Storage Regs (and pamphlet), LAR15 Letter, Bulletin 72, complete copy of the Firearms Act, and the Shooting Range Regulations, all in a small binder, at the bottom of the bag. Assuming I don't get shot trying to retrieve them, all should be ducky.

The FA doesn't require you to have the originals with you as per my CFO, but a LEO may request it. I keep copies in the safe, and have laminated originals with me.

Laminating??.............Storing in safe??...........Wow! I store mine in a ziplock plastic bag in my range bag. If I lose them or they start to get ratty I would just phone the CFO and request new ones. They will replace them with no problem.

I called the BC CFO about this earlier this year, and was told you HAVE to keep the originals with the Firearm at all times, but you are allowed to laminate them. It sure would be nice if we could get consistent answers of them...

My originals seem to be on pretty average copy paper. I have made copies and I can't see how anyone (LEO or CFO or myself for that matter) could tell the difference as to which were the "true originals" and which are the copies. I haven't laminated mine yet, but will be doing so shortly.

Yes, but as we have seen recently, you can wait up to a month before you get those papers sent to you. Who needs trigger locks and a safe eh? The lack of registration certificates will render your restricteds completely unusable!!

I might believe this to be true for a new transfer where it takes that long to get your certs, but years ago when my RPAL was compromised and the CFO suggested that I needed to get a new number, I also had to get new certs with new numbers for all my guns. I received the new certs for all of them in the mail in a matter of days.

Do you laminate your registration for your car or truck as well? Like a firearm cert that needs to be produced when demanded by a peace officer. I'm sure most people just throw it in the glove compartment with their pink slip and don't look at it until it expires or is asked. I see there is a number of people on this thread who say they laminate their firearms certs. IMHO I just think its over the top is all. Each to their own.
