Friend of a friend looking for info and a rear diopter sight to match the base.

Anyone have any ideas? Looks a bit similar to the Russian sights copied from Hämmerli's on the MU-12, least on the one I have.
Typical style for Redfield and Lyman sights also.

And this is my MU-12

I have seen few of those back in '86 in school matches (Poland).
They were mostly very worn out and used rarely due to lack of parts and inability to hold zero.
I think that base still has threaded part on-have that thread checked well before anything else. That threat is too coarse for sight use and often it was damaged beyond repair.

Contact gunsmith stores in Poland and Hungary that deal with shooting clubs (they might be helpful too). After so many years it might be hard to find those parts.

Russian made sights were a lot better made but also scarce again due to lack of parts.

We held out KbKs rifles in much higher regard.
