Hi Guys,
I'm looking to buy an O/U shotgun and came across this USA based brand. Has anyone shot them (bird or trap) and does anyone know where they are sold in Canada?
Cheers
Nate.

Lanber is a Spanish company. Apparently well thought of in the UK as an honest and reliable entry level gun. I tried to contact their US distributor a couple of months ago to find out whether anyone sold them in Canada but did not get a response. So I went directly to the Spanish parent and was told that they did not have a Canadian distributor. They suggested I contact the US outfit that didn't reply to my initial query!

If you are seriously interested in one of these I could check into one for you. I have seen a used one where I am located. It looked to be in nice shape.

I shot a rented Lanber o/u in the U.K. They are a common school/rental gun. The shooting ground operators had nothing bad to say about them as far as durability or need to repair was concerned.

I'd put them about on par with similarly priced guns from Italy and better than any of the assorted low end Turkish delights.

they are an entry level firearm if you plan on doing a lot of shooting you may want to look at a used Browning or Beretta .

I disagree.

I have one. Bought it on an online auction, brand new...I think I got it for 400 bones!

Walnut stock, great blueing, engravings of ducks, woodcock and pheasant on the action, full and modified chokes.

Not to say that Brownings and Beretta's are not Caddilacs...for sure.
I'd take a Cynergy in a heartbeat!

But as far as functionality goes...it's an O/U, so basically fail safe. The ejectors work great, the gun looks very nice, the weight and swing is superb, and I've killed more skeet/grouse/turkeys than I can shake a stick at!

I highly recommend a Lanber. For the price it's unbeatable.

Trying to find one in Canada, damn near impossible.

I'm new to CGN and didn't think I'd be sharing my knowledge so soon, but there is a Lanber dealer in Montreal, Quebec. The place is called Dante's and is located on Rue Saint-Dominique. Look it up, and thanks for all the advice I've gotten from all the CGN members.

We looked at bring them in. At the time there was a lot of dumping going on and the prices people saw could not be matched, so we passed. We may look again if there is interest. They are a good solid sg
