Hey there. Anyone have any experience with the land use/topo map apps? Am thinking I'd like one so wondering if anyone has first hand experience with any of them and could let me know how they like em. I've used the government land use atlas thing but it runs like garbage on my phone so it's practically useless. I'm talking apps such as on x and the like.

Hi,
I've been using OziExplorer for Android for the past few years. I have good scans of the
gov't topo maps (1:50,000) and am really pleased with the image quality on the phone (far better
than a Garmin 60cx, which I've since sold). Ozi is a bit pricey ($25US) for an android app
and you need to supply your own maps. I use OsmAnd+ for road/highway use and it
seems to work quite well.

I use IHunter and pay for the crown mapping but it doesn’t show me who owns private plots. Maybe I need to turn some settings on?

You could get the information from the Region/county/etc generally. A lot of them have online GISs, I'm pretty sure Hastings County has one, as do most of the surrounding counties.
