This story is about 1.5 weeks old.... I thought I posted it but obviously I did not... Enjoy the story and pics..

So the landowner-farmer called me last night to let me know he has killed his first coyote. I have been hunting this farm for about 4 years now and taken several yotes from it. He got his hunting license last spring. I have taken him out with me coyote hunting a few times but we did not see anything. Wanting to get a coyote pretty bad, a bait was put out a few days ago.

Last evening he went to sit (100 yds away from it) to watch over it. As it was getting dark, he was tired of waiting so decided to pack it up. He stood up and not 15 yds away from him (on his left) there was a coyote looking at him... It took off and (I am proud of this part....he remembered what I taught him ) .....he dropped onto his belly, got the coyote in the scope, screamed out to get him to stop for that split second and shot. It dropped in his tracks 120 yds away.... He was super pumped....

When he called me last night, he was still very pumped, I was also very excited for him.... He wasn't sure what to do with it, so left it. So this morning after an unsuccessful goose hunt, I went over to get it. I skinned it out, fleshed it and have it on salt. I plan on tanning it for him plus doing a texas mount of the skull for him too....

And this last picture is from this afternoon, all tanned up and ready for the man cave.... :)
He will be getting it tomorrow... The skull well, that will take a few more months...

It looks a lot better than the picture shows... feels soft too...

What a wonderful job on the pelt, looks beautiful :)

Always appreciate your stories Frank, keep them coming :)

That's one ugly dog! Yote looks decent though ;)

Funny story, that guy in the pic is a good buddy of mine and just yesterday he was telling me about this guy named Frank who was this awesome coyote hunter who was skinning it out for him. I started telling him about this awesome coyote hunter on CGN who has the best photos of his set up, how the hunt played out, etc. After a bit of discussion I thought it was a one in a million shot but asked him what his guy's last name was. My buddy wasn't sure so I pulled up CGN and showed him a picture of fratri and he said, "That's him!" . Small bloody world we live in.
