Laporte Trap Machine Springs

Our club has a new five stand range with Laporte 12 column carousel machines. The machines came new with grey release springs. On the Laporte web site there it mentions a green spring. I can’t see where it indicates which of the grey or green springs is more powerful. We’d like to slow the targets down on one of the machines and have run the adjustment of the grey spring out to its limit. Has anyone had enough experience with either springs to know which is more powerful?

From what I saw while researching new skeet machines, the green spring is listed as the standard skeet spring, and the grey is listed as the Olympic spring

Thanks for the replies. I’ll delve further into it with Laporte. We had great luck with these machine so far.

The machine is a from their compact lineup. A 12CPro I believe.

Our club is closed up for the winter but i don recall seeing the spring codes in the parts section of the owner's manuals on our new Laporte machines.

Update from Laporte in case you’re interested. From strongest spring to the least strong: Silver, green then black.
