Im working up a load in my 6.5-284 with these bullets and Im at .6moa with a .025" jam. Now I want to play with the seating depth and tighten that up. How are you folks using these bullets?
Moosehunter, I have a couple boxes of these, I haven't tried them yet as I'm using the Sierras , one thing I've noticed, at 1000M it didn't seem to matter which bullet was used, it depended more on the conditions when your relay went to the line and the nut behind the rifle. Take care (and don't wear that thing out) Bill
Hard to say and it depends on your barrel and chamber design. You'll have to experiment. Touch, then jam, then back em out. With F-Class type competition, it's best not to jam them though. If you get a cease-fire order, it will become a problem once your bullet gets stuck in the bore to clear on the firing line.
Sounds near the same as mine. PGW M15, Gaillard 29" 8 1/2 twist. Ive noticed the vast majority are running these at a jump where 142 MK's have various jams. Im shooitng 1K bench so a cease fire isnt a problem. Figure I'll take the ones Ive got left over from Burns and start 3 shot groups at .005" off and go in .005" increments. Ive got a little over 900rds through this barrel and the throat has barely noticable cracking which Im going to scrub out with JB first.
