Has anybody actually tried this stuff, especially in a long TR sort of barrel? Aparently it gets around 2800 fps out of a 26" barrel. I'm wondering how it would do out of a TR/ F/Tr rifle w/ a 30" tube- maybe 2850? I guess that depends on what they've stuffed in the case for powder.

Andy, Peter Dobson, and Rick D at NSRA all use that ammo, with good results. I would be suprised if they don't have crono info.

I asked Peter, and all he would say was 2822 out of a 26" tube.

They are great bullets. I note that although Lapua lists them as 155 gr, the ones I've weighed have been closer to 154 gr. (I note that Hirsch also lists them as 154 gr). Not sure why there is a discrepancy.

The bullets themselves are fantastic. I'm trying to see what to expect from the loaded ammo. A few of us are travelling to England next summer and are wondering if it might be easier to aquire some loaded ammo once in the uk, rather than deal w/ the logisitcal hassle of travelling w/ more amoo weight than the airline would like us to. I'm going to try some out to 800m in NS next weekend.
