Im going to revive this thread as I am wondering what the load adjustment from Hornady going into Lapua would be for same speed? Are you running the same loads for both? Or is there a difference due to the brass?

I'm using alpha in my 6 GT - Love it - But have not yet tried Lapua as it just became avail and i have lots of alpha - And i have Alpha for my New 65 CM too SRP - i have being using Lapua in it with no problems . I also anneal with a AMP after every firing ! BOTH are Excellent Brass ! jmoVery consistent. The only thing I’ve found to be more consistent was Alpha.
I also anneal every firing.

AMP is the Best !![]()
Annealing after every firing is the way to go.I'm using alpha in my 6 GT - Love it - But have not yet tried Lapua as it just became avail and i have lots of alpha - And have Alpha it for my New 65 CM too SRP - i have being using Lapua in it with no problems . That's about what I'd expect, not so much the 0.3 grain, but a reduced charge in general. The Lapua is usually thicker than Hornady, the reduced volume means higher pressure = more speed. When I went from Hornady brass to Lapua brass for 6.5CM I had to drop 0.3gr in powder to get the same result.
Really? A debate about annealing? Whatever do you mean.. lolAgreed.
Suspect a debate is incoming when someone reads this.......![]()

There is NO debating that AMP induction is the BEST ! The VERY best shooters use it for a reason ! I’m not saying Bar B Qing is not good or salt is not good BUT the Facts are induction is the Best and Safest Easiest too ! But most expensive also .Agreed.

Just MHO but Ginex are Not quality primers ! I tried them with POOR results and gave them away !I used the same charge and data in hornady brass with ginex primers that I use in lapua brass with ccibr2 primers and it was about 200fps slower. Not sure if it was the primers or brass that made such a difference but I'm going to do some more experiments.

I will NOT get into a pissing contest over this - so no DEBATE from me ! GO ahead and believe what you want !![]()

I had some good results with accuracy and very low sd numbers when I first tried them. I usually only use them for fire forming brass but once in a while try them out on a new load just to use them up.Just MHO but Ginex are Not quality primers ! I tried them with POOR results and gave them away !
