Where in this great nation of ours can I find some lapua brass that isn't overpriced?
My next question is why can't we get it from our euro friends cheaper than our American Buddies?

They need the permit. When I asked about it on the phone they sounded quite happy to ship to Canada. WHile I haven't gotten them to ship to me yet it sounds like an easy deal.

I looked into buying from Sweden, costs about the same as getting it from the US with no permits required; BUT by the time you pay shipping you can get it here at about the same price... try Rayner Shine in Sask... good people and best price in Canada that I've found. I'll google the contact info and edit it in later. Rayner Shine, Phone: 306-689-2654

I've been told Cabelas ships some of their Canadian orders FROM Canada, so no export permit required if that is the case.

yeah I know. aparantly he's about the only person that does. I'm just to poor(cheap) to pay that price plus tax plus shipping. ouch.

Figure out the price over 20 reloads or more per case and it isn't to hard to swallow. Once you start using Lapua brass you will not want to use anything else.

"...that isn't overpriced?..." No such thing. Lapua brass is expensive, period.
"...They need the permit..." They need the export permit that requires a Canadian import permit to get. You get the import permit and send it to Cabela's, they then tell you they won't ship components to Canada.
"...why can't we get it from our euro friends cheaper..." One Euro is worth $1.58Cdn. as of today. Plus shipping. European firearms related stuff export rules are far more restrictive than U.S. rules.

Not sure

you will find it any cheaper than from the Candian Dist. Hirsch Precision. As a matter of fact I am going to order a couple hundred more pieces of 220 Russian as we speak.

Well it looks like I answered my own question. Just happened upon a canadian supplier of 6.5x55 lapua brass. $16/100 cheaper than anyone else I've seen. they don't carry a whole lot but at least I can keep my money in Canada:D
