Unless Hexmag actually designed a new mag for the Canadian market, which I highly doubt they did, it is probably their regular 10 round rifle mags with new engraving. I'd bet this hexmag has the same follower, body, spring, blocking device, and floor plate as their rifle mags. It would be hard to argue in court that it is not simply re labelled.
It's really no different than most of the 10 round mags on the market in Canada, virtually all of them are rifle mags with "new" engraving.
If you want to play it safe you'd have to find company that truly has a unique magazine designed for pistols, preferably without part commonality with rifle mags.
