Recently purchased more lar15 mags and couplers. I have been managing ok but am sure there has got to be a better/easier way to remove the plates and insert the coupler.

Just wondering the tools and techniques you guys use, otherwise these 20mags will take me all weekend. thanks

Put a poker thing through the hole on the bottom near the hook tab and bend. The plate slides right off. Hold the spring in place while sliding the plate off or it will go "sproinggg" and you will need to find it.

The couplers slide right on but they are difficult to keep in place. I MacGuyvered something with the screw and a small metal strip.

i used some black electrical tape around the connection area, they seem to stay in place quite well. (im using the plastic couplers)

To the op: i use a small screwdriver to bend the floorplate up a bit and it slides off, so unless you got a 100-pack it shoudlnt take too long

ok thanks, i wasnt putting the screw driver in the hole and bending, i was just working it off slowly, was scared i might break it if i tried bending it. shouldn't take me long at all now, thanks a bunch for answering a noobie question. cheers

As was already said, just use a thin-ish flat head and slide it under the lip on the plate closest to the small hole. Once the screwdriver is under a little ways, pinch your thumb down on it and simply pull out. Mind the spring doesn't fly out.

I too use electrical tape to hold the 2 halves together on the coupler, then cover that with hockey tape for a better grip.
