LAR Mag extensions

Hey, does anyone remember who was selling the magazine extensions that would fit to the LAR-15 10 round mags, so that they were the same length as a 30 round mag? I believe Barney did a trial on them sometime this, or maybe last year?

GS Designs are a lot cheaper than S&J and anybody I know who uses them has found them to work fine.

The GS Designs ones work great. You can even get them with grooves for magpul ranger plates.

I'd like to know how hardy the GS Designs ones are.

I use the S&J and they are anodized aluminum. What's interesting in Rod (Civil Advantage's) video is halfway through he talks about the potential problem of snapping off the bottom tabs of the magazine with the GS Designs ones. I can tell you that has happened with S&J's with one of mine. The extension certainly did not break but the magazine tabs were not equal to dropping (too bad they weren't made the same way!).

I had one of the GSD mag extensions fail, but I use the others regularly and they are dropped on the ground and sometimes stepped on. They are about as robust as you could expect

I handled the S&J ones today. With the exception of being relieved on the inside of the body of some thickness, they are solid aluminum and far too heavy. Someone needs to make a stamped, hollow aluminum model.
