LAR mags and Magazine clip

Have anyone used the AR15 magazine clip from Marstar on LAR mags with the plastic coupler to boot?

The clip holds two 20 or 30 round magazines with steel spring tension.

I'm clicking around on there, and can't find what you mean. Are you referring to the speed attachment thing, where youc an have a 2nd (30rd) mag attached to the side ? If this is the thing you're referring to, I expect would function just fine, as all the parts used to 'hold' onto the mag, should be identical.

Yes except my LAR mags are also coupled on the ends to each other by the plastic coupler. In effect, there will be a total of 4 mag. So it will be a combination of these:

I just wonder if the tension from the Marstar clip puts any stress on the plastic coupler.

Ahhhhhh, not the thing I was thinking of.
I could actually see that one having issues, my concern would be that the LAR mags, when coupled don't make the same curve that the 30 rounders do. It has a straight edge with a sharp angle, and it's right on that angle that you'd have to mount attachment.

It looks good in theory, there may be enough surface tenion to hold them together

I've done this with the plastic wedges and either a Brownells or Samco coupler, both worked OK for me. **Depending on the coupler used, you may have to modify it so the mags will go in both ways.
