Large bore lever guns

Define large bore lever gun?

Sorry...not a pistol caliber or 30-30 is more or less what I'm going for. Something in the higher energy range. Yes I know pistol calibers are 'large bore' but it's used as an expression rather than literal.

Thanks for the responses guys.

*edit*

Just checked out Rossi's site and I see they are making a 454 casull levergun again. I had discounted them as a potential company because I thought this was out of production due to pressure issues. Seems they solved it.

Winchester has .45-70, .405, .375 win, .38-55, Marlin has .45-70, .450 marlin, .444, and their 1895's can be converted to .45-90 or .470 Turnbull with some work of course. Rossi has .454 casull, .45-70, a Turnbull would be awesome in either .475 or .470 Turnbull, there is also chapparall, chiappa, and henry for pistol cartridges and Big Horn Armouries has the .500 smith and wesson. That's all I know of, unless you include sharps style rifles,

That 500 S&W by Big Horn is a ###y rifle. Downside is it's rather pricey and I have no idea where one could get one. :p

Thanks again for the help guys. Several of these companies I've never heard of like Big Horn and Pedersoli.

Wholesale lists a Henry in .338 Win Mag.

I have one of their rifles in .30-30 and it is a seriously accurate rifle. Well made (in the USA), but a fairly heavy package.

I would be all over that if I didn't think it was a typo :p
