Greetings all. Is there a fairly large capacity case tumbler available out there that would handle up to 1000 .223 cases and stainless pins for wet tumbling? I’m thinking I may need to build me own......*eyes his wife’s unused for 3 years treadmill*.

Was looking to buy just for the convenience of the matter.

Thank

Build your own. Free or nearly free motors on kijiji or something similar.
Find a barrel of suitable size, put grip tape on it and the shafts its rolling on.

Motor
Rolling shafts
Pillow block bearings
Pulley wheels and band
Barrel (i used an extra large protein powder bucket that was quite dense)
Steel pins
Lemi shine

Less than $50 and it will be better than anything you can find in Canada.

When the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) was still using revolvers, they used a commercial Camdex loader that produced some decent ammo (I still might have a couple of ammo cans of the reloads stashed away). To polish and clean the .38 special casings (mostly nickel plated) they used an electric cement mixer that had carpet pieces covering the internal spines (to prevent denting the cases). Remember they loaded hundreds of thousands of practice rounds so volume was important. For what it's worth, the duty ammo was commercial +P hollow point. When we transitioned to .40 cal Glocks it was decided to only use commercial ammo, even for practice to keep the full warranty on the Glocks. The EPS is now transitioning from .40 to 9mm partially as new 9mm loads are much improved and easier to control than .40 S&W. Phil.

i build one years ago with the remains of a tossed treadmill....worked great if you use the speed controls from same unit

Double barrel! Good idea!

It reminded me that I had to teflon the threads of my container so it didnt leak. Sometimes just tape the lid on.

The hot water and soap creates a little pressure and they leak sometimes. If I stop it and loosen the lid to relieve the pressure and retighten the lids, they are usually fine. Having said that, they were $1.25 each....
