Are large pistol primers still in very short supply or unavailable?
I found some Winchester bricks at $200 each.

Buy now or wait for more supply at a better price ?

My guess is the real price for primers right now should be around $70 /k. This represents almost a 100% increase over 2019 prices and is more than generous even in this time of high inflation.

If you want them badly enough, pay any price you are comfortable with. I have enough to get me through at least another year of waiting for normality to return, so I will continue to pass.

Alberta. Primers are the on the "cash only" table a gunshop. I'm down to less than a 100 primers, so it's tempting to get some before I run out.

alpining, did you call to ask for a shipping quote from them?
There policy as stated on their website states;

"Please note that due to shipping restrictions all ammunition, primers and gun powders are not available for online purchase. Please contact our store and we would be happy to provide you with a quote and process your order manually for any of these items."

My local GS's supplier told them not to even bother placing any primers on a back-order as it will be at least a year before any arrive.
Some are just going to have to do what they have to.

No I didn't. You're right, I may have misinterpreted their info.

Thankfully when the chaos started in the USA a couple of years ago I was able to still buy 11 boxes of S&B LPP for $38/1,000 to augment my supply.
I also bought 5,000 BR-2 and BR-4 for $64/1,000.

6 months ago I bought 1,000 Federal SPP for $105 just to shore up my supply and ensure that I don’t run low.
I haven’t needed them yet.

I was at Irunguns in Arizona this week and shot at their range.
We paid $15/50 for 9mm Blazer Brass and $10/20 5.56 PMC
Not worth reloading at those prices.
