Cabelas has CCI BR-2 primers again. $24.99/100 max 200 per person. Expensive but atleast you can get some. Just an FYI.

If you can't go into the store to purchase those primers, the price will be $28/100. If you have to get them shipped, add whatever the going rate for shipping is.

It would be a good idea to put together a substantial order, including other items, such as bullets/cases/powder to alleviate the cost.

Ginex primers work OK for many folks, but not all.

I've tried two different lots of them in a 308Win and 30-06.

They both required a recipe change from what I use with the CCI250 or CCI200 primers.

They aren't as hot and that makes me think there will be issues with consistent ignition/velocities/accuracy between -25C and +20C, especially with ball type powders.

I've only tried a couple of hundred of each lot and won't be using any more, unless I have to.

They are slightly hotter than most standard primers but my sampling was small, so not conclusive.

The cup metal seems to be harder and that can cause issues for rifles with light firing pin springs.

I'm not going to use Ginex for anything as I have enough CCI to easily last out my shooting days.

However, many folks here purchase their primers by the 100 count. One fellow at the Chilliwack gun show, last weekend, asked me if I had any "part boxes" of primers. I thought he meant 1000 count boxes, but he was looking for part 100 count trays. He just couldn't afford more and like me, getting long in the tooth, was used to paying $30/1000 not that long ago.

I had nothing on my table to help him out, but he did drop by later and show me a handful of part boxes, from different manufacturers he had picked up on other tables. All were at least half full, most almost full. He paid $5 apiece for them.

I was bought a box of random old tins and whatnot for displaying in the reloading room. In there was 2 partial trays of OLD federal primers. The primer trays are made of wood! Never seen anything like this before
