I just have regular mechanical boresighter, however I am looking into new products like laser for sighting in the scopes.

My question is to gunsmiths or those who play with barrels and need perfect adjustments.

Which laser boresighters or what method you gentlemen use to make sure the barrel is straight in respect to the bullet chamber?

Thanks

The few laser boresighters that I tried out were less accurate than the optical one that was on hand.
That was a few years back, the technology may have changed a bit.

Personally, I figure a system that works without having to make a trip to town for batteries is OK!

You are still going to have to shoot to get the scope sighted in anyway, as it wil shoot different for each different ammo variant or load.

Personally, I like the idea of the magnetic mounting, optical unit that is available from Busnell, as you can use it to check and note your settings AFTER you have sighted the rifle in, then you can check that the settings are the same once you are out in the boonies, without having to fire.

In My Opinion the laser boresighters are a high tech answer to a question nobody asked, but your mileage may vary.

Cheers
