laser sight for older pistol?

Hi folks. What kind of options are out there for mounting a laser sight to an older style pistol that doesn't have mounting rails? I saw something on Marstar that mounted to the trigger guard... Sold out though.

Anyone with experience on this? Or maybe this is a better thread for "optics"...

What kind of pistol and what price range are you thinking of?

The surefire web sight has a few mounts that don't need any gun smithing and you should have a look at crimson trace, but their kind of pricey.

I end up putting a Novac rail on my norc 1911.

There is ebay, some cheap airs_ft kit that works well enough for my (1911) purposes.

Thanks for the tips. I haven't got the gun yet... I'm thinking about a norinco tt33 or varient. For price - well, how much $$ do I put into optics for a $200 gun...

I've got one for an A--soft but it's rail mounted to.

why would you want to put a "laser sight" on a tt33?


what is a laser sight for you? a laser or a red dot?

A LASER laser. I doubt I'll attach one. I was just curious how guys do it with the more classic pistols

I have seen some that mount on the trigger gaurd,again without any gun smithing, maybe you could jerry rig something like that?

There are Lasergrips for some guns. I know they're available for 1911s and many revolvers, but I doubt they make something for the Tokarev. Still, it wouldn't take much to Google them and find out.
