So I have a Ruger American Ranch rifle in 223/556 , and just received my new screw on suppressor from TNA.
They call it the "XM 177 Flash Hider" . Now I know these are pretty self explanatory , but I have a couple of questions as no details or instructions were with the package.
First....the crush washer sent with it, does it get installed with the bump towards the suppressor or the barrel ?
Second.....Do I need thread lock ? blue loctite maybe ?

From TNA website

Tools required: Upper receiver vice block or barrel vice/reaction rod to hold the Upper Strap wrench or hands, or some people use a screwdriver and a rag
Installation Tips: Remember to orient the crush washer with the tapered side towards the gun

They always list how to do most jobs. I’d put some thread lock on .

If the big end of the crush washer matches the barrel diameter or is close to doing that, I prefer to leave it that way. In function it does not matter.

The whole point of a crush washer is that thread locker is not required. That IS the function of a crush washer.
