First off the snow in the pics is misleading, there was only really ice in the bush and muddy roads, just happened to snow a bit that morning making it look like a proper wolf hunt. We have hunted with KapRiver before and they like to push the wolves and move the hunters into likely positions the wolves might come out if pushed. Not so this time not enough snow for the sleds. Myself and LBO were sitting over baits from just after sunrise till about noon each day and then again later in the day at sunset. On the last day i noticed the crows startle at the bait and a wolf stepped out about a 100 yds away, after sitting for three days i didn't hesitate and shot pretty much instantly, wolf went about twenty yards and piled up. It was just about nine and I distinctly remember Peter Martin (Outfitter) stating around about 0900 -1000 hrs in the am is when we get most of em:)

Got the skull of the female wolf I shot back from the taxidermist and interestingly enough you can see a tooth puncture wound on the skull, consensus was it was likely inflicted by another wolf?
